MAYBE DAVID DUCHOVNY *DID* CHEAT ON HIS WIFE: 

The unofficial word up until now has been that DAVID DUCHOVNY didn't cheat on his wife, TEA LEONI.  But now, we're hearing that he DID . . . and that Tea found out, and DEMANDED that he seek treatment for sex addiction.

--Of course we're hearing this from the "National Enquirer" . . . but that doesn't automatically mean it's bogus like it used to years ago. 

(--Isn't it amazing that there are a lot of people out there too young to remember the "Enquirer" as an unreliable rag???  These days they actually break legit stories.  Not all the time, mind you, but enough that we have to pay attention to what they say.)

--A so-called "source" says Tea told David that their marriage was OVER if he didn't get help.  He added, quote, "At first, Duchovny tried to lie his way out of trouble, but eventually was overwhelmed with guilt and confessed."

--Meanwhile, "Us Weekly" says Duchovny has, quote, "a history of indiscretions."  One of his more recent affairs was with an extra on his Showtime series, "Californication". 

--But after the woman messed around with Duchovny, she found out that, quote, "this wasn't the first time he'd taken special interest in an extra."

--Duchovny has checked into the Meadows rehab center in Wickenburg, Arizona, for a 35-day course.  Tea has already been there to visit him.

LANCE ARMSTRONG WASN'T AFRAID TO MAKE SWEET LOVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TOUR DE FRANCE  . . . IF HE WAS UP TO IT: 

LANCE ARMSTRONG has finally answered the million-dollar question:  Yes, he HAS had relations in the middle of the Tour de France.  But it wasn't a habit.  In fact, most of the time, he wasn't up for it after a day on his bike.

--He tells "Men's Journal", quote, "I had sex if I had the energy.  I wasn't one of those guys who believed in the myths about the guy losing his chi.

--"But the fact is that if you are riding your bike five, six, seven hours a day, you are not a sex champion.  You're just not.  You have fatigue, low testosterone and a lower libido.  But you know, I never got any complaints."

--Even though he always seems to have a lady around, Lance says he doesn't date much . . . quote, "I think it's hard for me, or for anyone in my position, to call someone up and say, 'Hey, can I take you on a date?' 

--"It's never like that.  I meet people casually, while hanging out with friends, so there's less pressure."

--And if Lance is a bit of a player, he's not ashamed of it.  And he wants you to know that nobody is being taken advantage of.  He says, quote, "I'm a 36-year-old single guy who is completely open and honest with every woman in my life.

--"As long as you're honest, and no one's getting played or let down, then you're being fair."

IS USHER SEPARATED FROM HIS PREGNANT WIFE??? 

USHER'S marriage never seemed to have a chance.  And now, it might be over.  The "Chicago Sun-Times" says Usher and his pregnant, older wife TAMEKA are separated.  She's expecting their second child in December.

--Usher's relationship with Tameka . . . who was originally his stylist . . . caused a serious rift between Usher and his mama, Jonetta Patton.  He ended up firing Jonetta as his manager . . . although he claimed he was just giving her a chance to "retire".

--Last year, Usher and Tameka's big, expensive wedding was scrapped at the last minute . . . supposedly because Jonetta was so against it.  Usher and Tameka ended up having a low-key courthouse wedding.

--Usher recently re-hired Jonetta as his manager . . . so obviously, if he IS leaving Tameka, that probably means that MAMA WAS RIGHT.

--Usher and Tameka's first child, a son named Usher Raymond the 5th, was born last year.

THERE'S A SEX TAPE OUT THERE SOMEWHERE FEATURING "HOBIE" FROM "BAYWATCH": 

JEREMY JACKSON . . . the actor who played DAVID HASSELHOFF'S son Hobie on "Baywatch" . . . made a sex tape with porno skank SKY LOPEZ some years back.  And now . . . surprise, surprise . . . it might make its way onto the market.

--But Jeremy SWEARS it's not his fault.  He claims he was THREATENED into giving the tape away . . . and he thought he was giving it to someone who would keep it under wraps.

--Here's the deal:  Sky Lopez retired from the smut industry a few years ago, and now she's trying to make it as a hip-hop artist.  She's also RELIGIOUS now . . . so she's not interested in the world seeing that tape.

--Yesterday, word got out that someone was shopping the tape, but hadn't found any buyers yet.  Obviously, whenever a porno tape gets "leaked", suspicion immediately falls on the PARTICIPANTS.

--But Jeremy swears it's not his fault.  He issued the following statement . . . quote, "Listen, this video was made by my best friend.  Between me and a casual sex partner who just so happened to be a former porn star.

--"I was later physically threatened if I didn't turn the DVD over to some drug addicted thugs.  They said, 'Sky wanted it back and didn't want to ever be seen as a porn star, that she had turned to God and was changing her life.'

--"So I gave it up for HER and so they would not beat me up and 'make my life hell' as they had threatened.  I was blackmailed.

--"This private recording becoming public kinda sucks.  But I thought people out there should know the truth and how far some people will go to make a quick buck."

(--So people representing Sky Lopez demanded this tape to keep it from becoming public . . . and now it's being shopped around for a possible release???)

This could be one of the most random and bizarre pairings in Hollywood history:  The "National Enquirer" claims that MARY-KATE OLSEN went on a date the other night with JONAH HILL . . . the HI-larious chubby kid from "Superbad".  (!!!)

--The two were supposedly spotted having dinner in L.A., where, quote, "She seemed totally enamored of Jonah, and he couldn't keep his eyes off her, either."

MICHAEL BUBLE and EMILY BLUNT are no longer a couple.  We don't know what happened, but Michael told the "New York Daily News", quote, "I'm single and ready to mingle."

LYNNE SPEARS has denied sending any baby gifts to BRISTOL PALIN . . . the pregnant, 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential nominee SARAH PALIN.

--But her rep says that Lynne, quote, "supports Sarah and, of course, can empathize with their situation." 
(--By the way . . . Bristol's redneck baby-daddy and future husband has Bristol's name tattooed on his ring finger. . .)

MICHAEL LOHAN SAYS ALL OF HIS KIDS WILL ATTEND HIS FATHER'S BURIAL: 

All is well in the Lohan family.  MICHAEL LOHAN says that all his children will attend his father's burial . . . and he says his ex-wife DINA is being great through this ordeal, too.

--He says, quote, "LINDSAY is going to be at the burial.  All my kids will be there.

--"And I can't believe how great Dina has been.  She has been wonderful.  She has been the woman I married.  She has been great."

--Technically it won't be a burial.  Michael's dad wanted to be cremated, and have his ashes sprinkled in Cold Spring Harbor in New York.  This will happen on the last weekend of the month.

--Even though Michael and Lindsay have been exchanging pretty vicious words over the last several days, Michael says it's all good . . . quote, "Lindsay is my daughter.  Nothing will ever separate a father's love from his kids.

--"And that is all that matters.  No one will ever change that."

HULK HOGAN LOSES $47,743 A MONTH: 

Legal papers just released in the divorce of HULK and LINDA HOGAN show that Hulk is losing $47,743 PER MONTH.

--Hulk says he pulls in $56,708 a month . . . but he's shelling out $104,451 a month.  Luckily, he's got a ways to go before he's broke:  His net worth is $32.4 million.

(--Linda claims it's $26.7 million, which is odd.  You'd think she'd want the courts to believe Hulk is worth MORE . . . so she can GET more from him.)

--As for Linda, she's spending money like SHE has money.  Her monthly expenditures include . . .

--$7,258 on clothes

--$1,690 on jewelry

--$7,502 on maid service

--$2,464 on pool and lawn service

--$1,374 in pet expenses

--$801 on additional grooming.  (--For the pets, we assume.)

--She's also paying $17,840 a month in legal and accounting fees.

--But she's able to cover it with the help of the 40-grand a month she's getting from Hulk in support.  Plus, she made $188,158 on her own in 2007 . . . mainly due to interest she earns from her investments, whatever they are. 

--She also made $650 an episode for "Hogan Knows Best" . . . which is probably FINISHED. 
(--There's no word if she's making any dough for appearing on the spin-off, "Brooke Knows Best".  But she's not on that one all the time.)

--Hulk also spends $38,616 on legal bills.  As of early this summer, he'd given more than $299,000 to his divorce lawyers.  He'd also spent $126,000 on lawyers for his son, NICK.

--And he gives $5,000 a month to the family of John Graziano . . . the man who was critically and permanently injured in Nick's drag-racing accident.

HEART DOESN'T WANT THE REPUBLICANS TO USE "BARRACUDA": 

As you've probably noticed if you've been watching any coverage of the Republican National Convention, the GOP has taken to using the classic HEART jam "Barracuda" whenever vice presidential candidate SARAH PALIN is around.

--Barracuda is an old nickname of Sarah's, dating back to her high school basketball days.

--Well, Heart minxes ANN and NANCY WILSON are NOT down with this.  After learning yesterday that their song was being used, they issued the following statement . . .

--Quote, "The Republican campaign did not ask for permission to use the song, nor would they have been granted that permission.  We have asked the Republican campaign publicly not to use our music.  We hope our wishes will be honored."

--It's not clear if the Republicans got that message or not . . . but either way, "Barracuda" was played AGAIN last night, after JOHN MCCAIN'S acceptance speech.

--Meanwhile . . . VAN HALEN is ticked off that McCain played "Right Now" during a speech in Ohio last week.  The band said, quote, "Permission was not sought or granted, nor would it have been given."

Michael Gargiulo has been charged with the murder of Ashley Ellerin seven years ago . . . when she was dating ASHTON KUTCHER.  Gargiulo had been in custody for the attempted murder of another woman, when DNA tests linked him to Ellerin's death.

"GHOSTBUSTERS 3" IS ACTUALLY IN THE WORKS: 

"Ghostbusters 2" is almost 20 years old.  And they've been talking about "Ghostbusters 3" for almost that long.  But it finally might actually happen.

--Columbia Pictures has hired two writers from "The Office" to work up a script.  We don't have many details, but the plan IS to reunite all four original Ghostbusters:  Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson.

(--Whether there's actually a chance of this happening is anybody's guess.  Over the years, one thing we've heard is that one of the things holding up a "Ghostbusters 3" was Bill Murray's REFUSAL to do another one.)

(--One rumor we heard recently was that the movie would introduce some NEW Ghostbusters . . . played by STEVE CARELL and SETH ROGEN, which would be AWESOME.  But there was no mention of that yesterday.)
